This accessibility statement applies to A Book In Discussion (https://abookindiscussion.com). We consider it highly important to make the site accessible to people with disabilities, believing that every person has an equal right to enjoy the site's content and services. The standard the site aims for The site aims to comply with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 2013, and with Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the international accessibility guidelines WCAG 2.0 at Level AA. Accessibility features currently on the site • Semantic page structure — a clear heading hierarchy and defined navigation and content regions • Correct language and reading-direction settings in each of the four interface languages (Hebrew, English, Arabic, Spanish) • Alternative text for images • Forms with labels associated with their input fields • Full keyboard operation: a "skip to content" link on every page, footnotes and reader notes in the chapter body open from the keyboard, and every pop-up dialog closes with Escape and returns focus to where you were • A visible focus indicator on every interactive element • Form errors announced to screen readers, with the failing field flagged • AA-compliant color contrast for persistent text • Full support for browser zoom — the site does not block text resizing, and the display can be enlarged to 200% and beyond Recommended ways to adapt the display The site relies on the accessibility tools built into your browser and operating system: display zoom (press Ctrl together with the + key or the mouse wheel), the operating system's contrast modes, and screen readers. Known limitations Our testing (including an automated axe scan) leaves a few point limitations: • Sharing a single paragraph is revealed on mouse hover; from the keyboard, sharing is available at the chapter, note, and footnote level • Closing the mobile side panels via the edge tab is touch-oriented; keyboard users close with Escape or the back button Found an accessibility issue?
