The Website is intended for publishing and presenting content, hosting discussions between authors and readers, knowledge sharing, and building a reading community. Definitions • "Website" — the digital platform at https://abookindiscussion.com • "User" — any visitor accessing the Website • "Author" — a user approved by the Operator to publish books on the Website • "User Content" — comments, reader notes, biography, and uploads by a User Intellectual Property and Copyrights All intellectual property rights and copyrights related to the Website — including its name, trademarks, patents, designs, trade secrets, methodologies, text, illustrations, graphics, software applications and images — are the sole property of the Operator. No part of the Website's content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or published without prior written permission from the Operator. Unauthorized use constitutes copyright infringement and may result in legal action. Author Ownership of Their Works Copyright in a book that an Author uploads to the Website remains entirely with the Author. The Author grants the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display the book and translate it for the operation of the Website. The Author may remove the book at any time. This clause does not affect the Operator's ownership of the design and reading system. User-Submitted Content Notes, comments, and texts uploaded by a User (not Author) remain owned by the User, but the User grants the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, technically edit, and translate this content within the Website. The User may delete their account and content at any time — deleted content will be removed within 30 days, except for technical backups. The User declares that any content uploaded does not infringe copyright or intellectual property, contains no confidential information, and does not harm any third party. External Links The Website may contain links to external sources. The Operator does not control content on those sites. The presence of a link does not imply endorsement. Visiting external sites is at the User's sole risk. Linking to or from sites with illegal, racist, discriminatory, or offensive content is prohibited. User Account and Minimum Age Use of the Website is permitted only for users aged 13 and above. Account creation is via Google account. Registration constitutes acceptance of these Terms. Users are responsible for keeping their login details confidential. Consent to Communications By creating an account, the User consents to receive operational and material updates from us. Promotional emails may be unsubscribed at any time. User Conduct Users must maintain respectful, polite, and appropriate behavior in all Website interactions. Racism, violence, defamation, or slander will not be tolerated. The Operator may remove offensive content and take legal action against offenders.
